In his hands

In Mathew 18: 1-5........

At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of Heaven?

And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them,

And said, "Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of Heaven.

Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as a little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me.

But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

We must humble ourselves as little children......

Why?

Little children depend on thier parents to take care of them. The are dependant on us, because they know that we are the ones who takes care of them. Children are not always able to take care of themselves, so they have that everyday faith that they can depend on mom and dad to give them thier needs and wants.
They also depend on us to protect them.

They dont even think about it. They just automatically depend on us. Children don't worry about what they are going to wear the next day, or what they are going to eat the next day... They just wait till that time comes and when they are hungry, they ask for something to eat. And when they wake up in the morning, they depend on us to help them with getting there clothes on and what they are going to wear..

They don't doubt and wander all day long, what the next meal is going to be.

Have you ever payed attention to a little child ...................When a stranger walks up to them and begins to talk to them........................they go to mommy or daddy and hide between their legs and grab ahold of the parent for dear life.

Well, that is the way we need to think about our Lord. When a stanger comes along and we feel threatened, or scared, we must grab ahold of the Lord and hang on for dear life and depend on him to protect us.

Why can we not be that way with our Lord, God and saviour?
He supplies all of our needs, so why do we doubt in him?
But yet, ............We worry, worry, worry.

Does he not feed the sparrows each and every day?  We are more important to him than the sparrows are.

Also, little children are innocent in thier thinking.. They dont think carnally or with bad thoughts. They are innocent and pleasant.

I have often saw old men and women,    change when they get to a certain age.. I have heard people say " He or She has went into there second childhood.....

Have you ever wandered about that?
I personally think that God is preparing them for heaven.. As he sais ... We must be as little children to enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Now don't get me wrong................I am not saying that people will not go to heaven if they dont act like a child......
Im just saying that I have noticed alot of old people who go into there second childhood before they die.... I think God has it this way for a reason.

I then am reminded of how certain adults have to take care of these elderly people and some times, these elderly people are abused by adults......  I think this is wrong... They are as little children.....
Just as it says in verse 6, that we are not to offend one of these little ones..

So,  In my lesson today, I see how:

God will provide and We are in his hands, so do not fear what tomorrow may bring.  He will be there to protect us and provide for us. Humble ourselves before the Lord as little Children.
