Renew your mind

As Christians, we are to put on the Full Armour of God.

This includes the Helmet of Salvation.
The helmet refers to our minds.

What is in our minds?
How do we think?  Do we think Godly thoughts? Or evil thoughts?

Satan can try to put thoughts into our minds that are not of God,..............and this is not ... what condemns us,................but rather.................When we feed on those thoughts..............this is what can condemn us..............
Do we feed our minds with the "ungodly" thoughts?
Satan plants that seed into our minds and we have the power to kill the seed...........or allow it to grow into something big............
How do we kill the seeds that Satan plants?

2 Corinthians 10:3-6

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through the pulling down of strongholds;
casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
And having in readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.

We must learn to quote this scripture every day.
This is very important in renewing our minds....
We must not feed on the thoughts that Satan tries to plant in our minds.

Thoughts could be a number of things.............

They could be lustful thoughts, deceiving thoughts, disobedient thoughts, gossiping about others, condemning others, judging others when we have sin in our lives just as well............thoughts of hatred, dislike, jealousy, rage, anger, coveting thoughts, or any thought that is not of God.

We need to put on the mind of Christ.

What is the mind of Christ?

God said that his ways are not our ways and our thoughts are not his thoughts...

Do we look on the outward appearance of others and judge them by the way they look, or by something that we have heard about them?

In verse 10 of 2 Corinthians..........

it said ...........Do we look on things after the outward appearance? If any man trust to himself that he is Christ's, let of himself think this again, that, as he is Christ's even so are we Christ's

1 Samuel 16:7  But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him:      for the Lord seeth not as man seeth;      for man looketh on the outward appearance,   but the Lord looketh on the heart.

Mathew 23: 27  Woe onto you, scribes and pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchers, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness.

John 7:24   Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgement.

When renewing our minds, we are to put on the mind of Christ.........

When we talk about others and their sin............We need to look in the mirror and see that we are also people who sin, too.

We don't see the heart of others, but God does and he knows just what they have been through in life and he knows their thoughts, just as he does... our thoughts.

We tend to look at others just by there appearance and judge them.
This is looking on the outward appearance!
We must learn to look on the heart of man............God looks at our hearts, doesn't he?

Would you like for someone to judge you wrongfully? Would you like for someone to say that you are living in sin......when you know good and well that they are not perfect either.....
When we put on the mind of Christ,...............................We are able to love others as Christ loves us.

We are able to love those people who are oppressed, burdened, lonely, abused, disturbed, those who are angry, those who are unlovable..
Jesus walked the earth, not to deliver the Christians......................But to deliver the sinners, the ones who were unlovable, the ones who others would stone because they judged them..........The people whom others did not want to be around because of a sickness or disease....

In the bible, Jesus walks upon the woman whom the people carried to the city....................because they said she was an adulterer................As Jesus came upon them....................right before they began to stone her............Jesus said to them.............................

Ye without sin, cast the first stone!!

Are we casting stones at other people?
We need to look in the mirror and ask ourselves " Do I have sin in my life?"  A sin is a sin, no matter what kind of a sin it is!  Big or small...........it's all sin in God's eyes.

Renew your mind!!!           and your hearts!!!!

Put on the Mind of Christ!!
Christ does not condemn!!

Christ comes to save the lost, not to condemn!
