The Sword of the spirit

I wanted to share about another dream that I had.
It actually may have been a vision, because it came as quick as it went..

I saw the Blue sky. I saw the Clouds and in the clouds...........was a sword coming out of it... In the same instant... The Words... Sword of the Spirit came to me...
I then began to search for the meaning of the dream..



I went to Ephesians 6: 10-17 and read it......
starting with verse 10 it reads.... Finally my bretheren, Be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11- Put on the Whole Armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the Devil.

V12- For we wrestle NOT against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places....

V13- Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, stand!

V14- Stand therefore, having your loins girt about you with truth, and having on the breastplate of rightousness;

V15- And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of Peace;

V16- above all, taking on the sheild of Faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench the feiry darts of the wicked..

V17- And take the Helmet of Salvation, and the SWORD of THE SPIRIT , which is the WORD OF GOD.

I then knew what God was trying to tell me.....

In our everyday lives, we battle satan. We need to get the word of God in our hearts, so that when satan comes to steel kill and destroy, we will be armoured with Gods word and we need to speak out Gods word and Stand on it because it is the Truth, the life and the way!!

Each Particular scripture is a sword unto itself, and very effective in battling satan, and temptation.
Each Bible verse can be very powerful, depending on the situation that we are in at the time.
We need to Pick the right verse for the Right Temptation!

The key point to spiritual warfare, is for christians to memorize certain key verses in the Bible so we can have them ready for immediate use when your mind and thoughts are under attack from Satan..

When you feel tempted by satan, begin focusing on thoughts of praising God... Use these praises to God, to replace the bad thoughts that satan may try to lay on us at the time........

We need to look within ourselves and search and identify our own areas which have became targets of temptation and spiritual warfare and pray that God will direct us to the right scripture that specifically addresses this weak area and memorize the scriptures, whether it be one verse or several verses...

The Goal is to prepare your mind in advance with these Bible verses, that when we are under the attack of Satan, These verses are used by us ................serving as the SWORD OF THE SPIRIT!


This is just like if you were fighting with real swords.............If you use the wrong sword at the wrong time.........or in the wrong conditions...... then your effort and results from the fight might not turn out to be what we had in mind.........

We must! Use our sword effectively because if we neglect to use the sword ( the word of God), then satan tends to just hang around, lurking and waiting untill one day we let our defensive weapon down and satan slips his way in and makes his move..... When we follow up the defensive weapons with effective use of the sword ( word of God), We not only hold him at bay, but we drive him off and we tear down his evil work!
