The Lame man

Today I was reading my bible and turned to 2 Samuel chapter 9 and began reading about King David...

King David was asking Ziba, Sauls servant, where he could find someone who was kin to Saul.......because he wanted to show kindness to them..

Ziba tells David that he knows of someone from the house of Saul, so he sends for Mephibosheth..

Mephibosheth was Sauls son, also known as Johnathon..

When Mephibosheth was brought to David, he fell on his face and reverenced David.

David called out to him and Mephibosheth answered " Behold thy servant".

David told him not to be afraid because he just wanted to show kindness to him because of his father, Johnathon.

David told him that he would restore all of the land that was his fathers and that he would now eat bread at his table..

Mephibosheth bowed and asked David, " What is thy servant that you should look upon such a dead dog as I"?

Then David called Ziba who was Sauls servant and told him what he had told Mephibosheth.

David told Ziba, that him and his sons would till the land for Mephibosheth and bring in the fruits of the land.. and that he ( Mephibosheth) was suppose to eat at his table from now on...

Ziba told David that he would do it.....
Ziba had 15 sons and 20 servants.

Does this sound like us at times?
We seem to act as Mephibosheth did when David wanted to be good to him and show kindness... We seem to think that we are not good enough to eat of the kings table...
We think just because of the way we look or what has happend to us in life, or because of our circumstances thats happend to us, causes us to feel like we do not deserve the good things, but that is not true.....

God is setting a plate for us at his table and he wants to show us his love and kindness and he wants us to eat with him and taste the good things that he has for us...

When our parents have been obedient to God, it causes us to have favour with him too... What about all of the prayers that our parents have prayed for us? Do you think God forgets those prayers?

No he does not...
We find favour with God, when our parents have been obedient..
and we are worthy of setting at Gods table, no matter what has happend to us in life that makes us feel like we are nothing and like we do not deserve to have better...

When we feel like we are not good enough , this is a lie from Satin.... Of course Satin does not want us to sit at Gods table.. So hes going to tell us all the lies he can to make us feel unworthy....

Do you ever stop to think that maybe Satin is Jealous of us..........because he knows he done messed up and that he will never be a part of Gods kingdom again, so he will try anything to stop us from finding favour and he will try to make us feel like we are not good enough to be a part of something good!!

Psalms 5:12
For thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as a sheild..

Be obedient to God and we will find favour with him and he will sheild us from the enemy..........
The enemy will be devoured if we are faithful to God and obey him... And we will eat of the good and we will eat from Kings tables!
