Brainwash me Holy Ghost

I am sure that you have heard the phrase... " They are Brainwashed"!

The term brainwashing, means to indoctrinate so intensively and thoroughly as to effect a radical transformation of beliefs.

What do we think when we hear someone say that he or she is brainwashed?
How do they become brainwashed?
Do we become brainwashed in certain ways?

When we speak of the brain, we know that it is the main function in our bodies. It controlls every part of our body, it regulates blood flow, our nervous system, the growth in our bones, and so on..

As Christians, we are covered by the blood of Jesus, but satan wants to controll how the Blood circulates in our lives. He wants to brainwash us, into thinking his ways are better.

In order for satan to try to work on us, he has to go to the head (brain) first. He causes turmoil in our lives.

The head is also the head of our churches, our pastors.
He tries to attack the brain or the head of our churches first, then he can operate in the other parts of the body, which can be considered the body of the church.
How many times do we hear of pastors who slip up and make mistakes, which causes pain and turmoil within the body of christ or our churches?
It is satan. He tries his best to move in our heads, our brains and influence us into thinking that sin is not so bad. He tries to make us think that this time it will be ok and its not so bad of a sin, but a little sin leads to bigger sins and before we know it, we have been influenced in every possible way.

If satan can brainwash the head, then he can controll the body.
Have you ever heard the term, " The blind leading the blind"?

Wash me Holy Ghost!

To wash, means to be cleansed with liquid. Washed with the water of the Holy Spirit.

As a christian, we are to put on the mind of Christ and we should walk as he walked.
What ever things is in our hearts and our minds, will come out of our mouths.
It sais in the Bible that, "out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks."

Brainwash is to subject a person to a prolonged process of influence.
As christians, we want to brainwash people.
Like the old saying of leading a horse to water, but you cant make him drink.

Our problem is that we want to lead that horse to the water and when he gets there, we want to hold his head under the water and make him drink but he may not be ready. We push him so hard that it drowns him. What good is it to drown the horse when he is not ready?
We want to make the horse believe as we do, but if we would only think about it and realize that when Jesus walked on earth, he did not force his way on anyone, but he led them by his love. They saw how much he loved them and how much he did for them and they desired to know him more.
If we would just act like Jesus did when he walked on earth, We might find that we could lead more horses to the water of Life and they would be more willing to drink when they got there.

How do we brainwash sinners?
We allow the love of Jesus to shine throughout our lives and we walk Holy before the Lord every day and we must not waiver because those sinners are watching us. They watch how we live from day to day.
This makes me think of my nephew, when he was not living close to God.
He grew up in church.
All of the people there loved him and they were good to him, untill he slipped back into sin.
When they all found out the things that he had been doing, they critisized him.
They did not treat him good anymore.

He told me how he quit going to the church for a while.
When he decided to go back one sunday, He walked in the door and the people who onced loved him, just looked at him with disgust and never bothered to even come to speak to him to tell him how much they loved him and were glad to see him back.....

They just glared at him with hateful looks.

He told me that he would never go back there. He also said that they were suppose to be christians and if they were going to heaven, then he was too....

See.....He saw the way they were so harsh toward him and how they were just as guilty of sinning, because they were judgemental toward him, and it speaks in the bible, " Judge not, lest ye be judged".
How about the woman in the bible who was brought to the city by the people for the sin of adultery?
When the people got her to the city, they picked up stones so they could stone her to death for the sin that she committed, but when Jesus walked up upon them, he told the people " Ye without sin, cast the first stone."

Do we judge others for there sins?
It also sais " Why do we find the spec in someone elses eye, when we do not even see the log in our eyes."

Do not allow satan to brainwash you?

He can also work on us to cause us to say hurtful things to others, so that they become brainwashed into thinking that they are nothing.
Christ loves us all and we are all a treasure in his eyes. God accepts us the way we are.
satan is a liar and he must not be allowed to get in our heads and our brains.
Dont give him any room to move in.
I often think of the commercial of the little mucus monsters on tv, when someone becomes sick and one mucas monster moves in there chest and they begin to cough and before you know it, they have multiplied and we become very sick.

So in order to move those mucus monsters out of our bodies, we must take the mucinex. We have to get massive amounts of medicine in our bodies so that the mucus will begin to die and we can be restored back to health again.

Our spiritual health comes from the Word of God. It sais in the bible that the word of God speaks life and marrow to our bones.
We must fill our minds, our bodies and our bones with the word of God and be filled, so that satan cannot brainwash us.

The word of God is the key to breaking the chains of darkness in our minds, our head and our lives. This will allow us to be led by the spirit of God and by the renewing of our hearts and minds.
God is looking for spiritual fruit.

The pastor of our church said that he once saw a sign that read..... God is looking for spiritual fruit and not religious nuts, but Id rather be a religious nut, than a dried up fruit.
There is so much truth to that.
Is our fruit dried up?

All I can say is brainwash me Jesus, Holy Ghost!!

1 chor. 1:10 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind in the same judgement.

2 thes. 2:2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.

Hebrews 8:10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in there hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
Verse 11..... And they shall not teach every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for ALL shall know me, from the least to the greatest.

2 Timothy 2:16 But shun profane babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.

John 8:1-11
verse 3: sais.... And the scribes and pharisees brought to Jesus, a woman taken in adultry; and when they had set her in the midst, they said unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultry, in the very act.
Now Moses in the law, commanded us that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?
This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.
So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them,
" He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her."
And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground. And they which had heard it, being covicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.
When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, " Woman, where are your accusers? hath no man condemned thee?"

She said, NO man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her " Neither do I condemn thee: Go and sin no more."

Proverbs 3:8 It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.

Proverbs 4:20-22 My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.
Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.
For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.
Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

Proverbs 16:22 Understanding is a well-spring of life unto him that hath it: but the instruction of fools is folly.

Proverbs 17:22 A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.
