Among the Sinners

In Mathew 9:10,11, it sais....

And it came to pass, as Jesus sat at meat in the house, behold, many publicans and sinners came and sat down with him and his disciples.
And when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto his disciples, Why eateth your Master with Publicans and sinners?

The Pharisees did not like the idea that Jesus was eating among the sinners.

Verse 12 sais..... But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.
But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

Have you ever been in a situation where you were only around people whom you knew were sinners?
Did you want to be there?
A good example of this may be a place of work.
You may have prayed that God would put you in a place where you are surrounded by christians, but in turn, God put you in a place where you are surrounded by sinners.

Sometimes we are put places where we can be a light in a dark world. Even though we do not feel good in these places, we need to learn to lean on God and know that We are his shepherds and we are to go and tend to the flock out there, even though it may be only one person that we are able to win over to God in that place..............
Realize that God will leave 99 sheep, just to go save one sheep.
That one sheep is a soul and to God, that one soul is worth it all.

I have been in work places where all I hear is sinful things from others, but that is when our duty is to stand out above the crowd and let our light shine and let others know who we are in Christ and as others see our walk with God, they see a difference!

They see that we are different and most of the time, there will be someone in the crowd to come to you and ask for advice or prayer. This is our chance to witness to them and tell them of How Jesus loves them and wants them to come into his kingdom!
If you have a testimony, let others know the things that we have been through and that God did bring us through it all and no matter what others have done, God still wants to heal those of all of there problems and wants them to turn to Him.

Jesus is our healer and he comes to those who are broken hearted. He comes to those that others do not want to have anything to do with. He wants to show his love to the rejected.

As Christians, we are not to reject sinners. We are suppose to walk as Jesus walked upon earth. We should desire to be perfect. I know sometimes that Satan makes it difficult with all that he dishes out upon us, but that is when we pray without ceasing and we gain strength from God.
Paul said that he prayed and repented daily.
We need to do the same.
Put on the whole Armour of God so that we may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Next time God puts you in a place among the sinners, just know that he must have a plan for you to be that person, who may bring in just that one person to Christ.
